Join us on Thursday 3/12 at 6:30pm at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center for community acupuncture.

Benefits of a treatment include:
👉🏻Increased calmness and mental clarity,
👉🏻Relief from stress and emotional trauma,
👉🏻Better sleep,
👉🏻Relief from pain, and
👉🏻Connection to your community.

You will be treated in a group, sitting in chairs, fully clothed. Up to five small, sterilized disposable needles will be placed into specific sites on each ear: a protocol developed by the Black Panthers and Young Lords as a tool for liberation and community health. If you don’t want to have acupuncture, you can still benefit from the treatment by sitting with the group or with the placement of ear seeds on points.

When: The second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30pm:
👉🏻Mar 12 & 26, 2026
👉🏻Apr 9 & 23, 2026
👉🏻May 14 & 28, 2026

The cost is $11 per month for Evanston residents and $31 per month for non-residents. Sign up by calling 📞 Fleetwood-Jourdain at (847)448-8254 or registering online 🖥️ through the City of Evanston.

Many small businesses in Minnesota have shown us how businesses can join the resistance against the violation of our constitutional rights. Join Illinois Workers in Action and Sanctuary Niles Township in Niles on Monday morning, 3/2, to discuss what actions we should take now to compel our employers to prepare for the next CBP blitz in Chicagoland and brainstorm strategies to keep each other safe.

Imagine having a child in diapers with only 1-2 diapers left, no money to buy more, no money on your Ventra card, and the closest laundromat miles away.

🧷1 in 2 U.S. families with young children cannot afford enough diapers to keep their infant or child clean, dry, and healthy. These babies are more vulnerable to painful rashes and urinary tract infections and have more trips to the doctor.
🧷1 in 4 caregivers miss work or school because they can’t afford the diapers required by many childcare providers, missing an average of 5.1 workdays per month.
🧷Roughly 1 in 4 caregivers struggling with diaper costs have skipped meals to save money for diapers.
🧷81% of caregivers experiencing diaper insecurity reported feeling hopeless or depressed recently, compared to 46% of parents without such insecurity.

Support Niles Township families struggling with diaper need by donating diapers of any size to the Sanctuary Niles Township diaper drive through February 28th. You can drop off diapers in the bin outside my practice 24/7 or stop by any of the other drop off locations. It takes a community to raise a child - thanks for being part of ours.

LOVE CUPPING SESSION – SPECIAL OFFER $50
Now more than ever, we can always use more love ❤️ in our life. Give your loved one (or yourself) a love cupping session! (If heart shaped ❤️cupping marks aren’t your thing, traditional circles ⭕️ or ⭐️ are available.)

Cupping involves placing glass or plastic “cups” on the skin and creating a vacuum by suctioning out the air. Cupping enhances circulation, relieves pain and pulls out toxins from the body’s tissues – plus it looks cool!

SELF-LOVE ACU & SOUND THERAPY - SPECIAL OFFER $50
Give your loved one (or yourself) a gift certificate for a private acupuncture & vibrational sound therapy session for relaxation, restoration, inner calm and balance. Therapeutic singing bowls will be played near and on your fully clothed body during your acupuncture session. If you don’t love needles, you can elect to just receive the vibrational sound therapy.
