If you have recovered from COVID-19, your plasma likely contains antibodies against the virus. The NorthShore Blood Banks Donor Center is collecting plasma from individuals who have recovered from COVID-19
and investigating whether or not transfusing that plasma to others is an effective treatment. If you are interested in participating as a donor, please email donateblood@northshore.org or call 847.98.BLOOD (847-982-5663.

Unfortunately, due to shortage of COVID-19 testing kits, we are unable to test for it in the office. Testing is done only in drive-through facilities. You can register for testing, after pre-screening, by going to NorshShoreConnect and filling out COVID e-Visit
If you have upper respiratory symptoms, we would like you to schedule a Televisit or a phone visit with your physician and we can guide you if e-Visit is necessary
Most insurances do cover these visits, some have waived co-pays (Blue Cross, Medicare), but it may depend on your plan
If you incur charges from Oakton Park Medical Center (us) related to Televisits and/or phone visits, we will work with you on an individual level to make sure that there is no financial hardship. We are committed to maintaining our relationship and our investment in your health and safety.
Together, we will devise an individualized plan of action to best suit your needs, considering current medical guidelines as well as your past medical history.
Finally, please, we advise you to strictly adhere to current Federal and State ordinance and recommendations regarding prevention and containment of current epidemic
