As our Director of Admissions, Stacy has spent years welcoming residents and families with compassion and care. She reflects, “It feels unreal and rewarding to work here for so long.”

Her advice for anyone starting in healthcare is simple: “You are here to affect people’s lives, so be open-minded. When you love what you do, it makes all the difference.”

Describing her journey in one word, Stacy chose “Impactful.” She shares, “Every resident has a story, and getting to know them has opened my eyes. This isn’t just a facility, it’s a home, and people care for people here.”

Celebrating Marisela Gonzalez's 18 years at Citadel of Northbrook! 🎉

As a valued member of our housekeeping team, Marisela brings hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude to everything she does. She says, "Time went by very fast, but that's what happens when you love what you do!"

When asked what advice she would give to someone starting in healthcare, Marisela says, "All the work you do is worthy. Always try your best because it feels good to go home knowing that you made an impact."

When asked to describe her journey in one word, Marisela said "Close." It reflects the connections she feels here. "This place reminds me of my mom and my own family. I feel special and thankful to work here, and it has become my second family."

It was a lovely evening with wine tasting, delicious food, and time spent together. We raised a glass to our incredible partners who make our work possible and the support they provide to our centers.

Celebrating Irina Orlov's 26 years at Citadel of Skokie! 🎉

As our Director of Social Services, Irina brings so much care and dedication to everything she does. She says, "I love what I'm doing! I love to help and be helpful, and to provide comfort to our residents!"

Her advice for anyone starting in healthcare is simple: "Stay positive and know that team members are welcoming and willing to help when you need it."

Some of Irina’s favorite moments come from just talking with residents. "They always ask if I have any new stories about my grandson. It means a lot because it shows they’re listening, and I’m always happy to share with them!"

If she had to describe her journey in one word, it would be "Educational." She has learned so much along the way and loves being a social worker.
