Today, on Mother’s Day, we hold space for all the different ways this day can be felt. ❤️

We honor the mothers who are still here, the mothers we miss deeply, the grandmothers, stepmothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, godmothers, and the women who have loved and nurtured others like a mother.

We also hold close those carrying quieter grief today, those longing to become mothers, those who have experienced miscarriage or infant loss, those grieving strained relationships, those spending their first Mother’s Day without Mom, and those navigating this day with an ache that words cannot fully explain.

Motherhood and grief often exist side by side, because love leaves a lasting imprint.

Whether today brings joy, gratitude, sadness, remembrance, or a mix of it all, please know you are not alone.

At Harding Funeral Home, we are incredibly proud to celebrate our very own Amber Mae Horvath, who has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 David C. Baue and NFDA Professional Women’s Conference Scholarship through the Funeral Service Foundation.

This prestigious scholarship is awarded to women in funeral service who exemplify leadership, a commitment to continued growth, a passion for education, and a dedication to serving families with excellence and compassion.

Anyone who knows Amber understands that this recognition reflects exactly who she is. Her devotion to this profession runs deep, not only in the care she provides to the families we serve, but also in the way she pours into her students, encouraging them to lead with knowledge, integrity, and heart.

Amber often says that we are only truly living when we continue to grow, learn, and experience new things, and she lives that out every day. This opportunity is just another step in that journey.
As she prepares to travel to Florida for the conference, we are honored to have her representing Harding Funeral Home and our community.
