Brushing basics, made simple! 🪥

Grain of rice of fluoride toothpaste until 3 years old, and when the child starts being able to spit the toothpaste out. Then they can bump up to a pea-sized amount of toothpaste twice a day, using gentle circles to clean every surface. Parents can help little ones until they’re able to do a thorough job on their own — usually around age 7 or 8.

Building these habits early sets the stage for a lifetime of healthy smiles — and we’re here to support families every step of the way!

Sports are great for growing bodies—but don’t forget about growing smiles, too.

Mouthguards are a must for preventing chipped or knocked-out teeth during play. For children that don’t have all of their permanent teeth yet, an over the counter mouthguard that is at least 3mm thick will do the trick. Once they have all their permanent teeth in, a custom fit mouthguard is a great option!

And don’t forget to rinse with water after sugary sports drinks!

Should kids brush after every meal?
Not always! Brushing twice a day (morning and night) with fluoride toothpaste is usually enough for most kiddos.
But after sugary snacks, sticky foods,or crunchy foods such as goldfish that can get stuck on our teeth , a good rinse with water or chewing sugar-free gum can help protect their smiles between brushes! 🪥😁
