Hey there everyone. Have you ever heard of a provisional custody by mandate? Do you or someone you know have a friend or family member with children who is going to be away (i.e. military, hospital or other illness, work, jail, etc) for quite some time and they need to appoint someone to handle their child(ren)'s schooling or medical services? Hey: Did you know that in Louisiana when a spouse dies without a will, the decedent's estate (separate property) is inherited by their descendants and/or ascendants, not the surviving spouse. Make sure you have a will. Contact me to schedule a time to write one up!
