A common statement we hear from our patients and community members is, "I didn't know Dr. Falls did dry needling." In fact, he is one of the few Chiropractors in this area that does dry needling.
Dry needling is indeed an integral part of the care that Physicians Spine & Rehab Slidell provides. If you or someone you know could benefit from this service, please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
✨What is dry needling?
Dry needling is a therapeutic technique used by trained specialists to treat muscle pain, tension, and movement limitations. It involves inserting thin, sterile needles into myofascial trigger points—tight, "knotted" areas within muscle tissue—to release tension, improve blood flow, and reduce pain.
✨Does dry needling hurt, and how big are the needles?
Dry needling does not hurt, the needles are extremely small, but just big enough to stimulate the muscle, knot or area to encourage movement.
✨How long does dry needling take?
Not long at all, the needles stay in for seconds to under eight minutes.
✨What does dry needling help, specifically?
Chronic and acute pain (neck, back, shoulder, arm, leg).
Headaches and jaw pain.
Improved mobility and range of motion.
Rehabilitation from injury.
