We are SO excited to welcome back our favorite traveling hygienist, Codi. Her positive energy, gentle touch, and genuine care for every patient make such a difference in our office. She has a way of making everyone feel comfortable, heard, and truly cared for.
Here are Codi’s questions and answers:
What is your favorite part of being a dental hygienist? My favorite thing about being a hygienist is when my patients understand and follow my advice and in turn, end up feeling better and healthier. I want every visit to be comfortable and enjoyable, but I cannot do it alone. I need my patients to do their part at home, so that we make a good team keeping them healthy and happy.
What is the best piece of dental advice you ever received? The best dental advice I’ve received is to meet your patients where they are. I never intend to lecture or make someone feel bad about their current oral conditions. It starts with one small step in the right direction and builds from there. No matter what you’ve been doing or not doing at home, or how long you’ve been out of the office — it just matters that you’re here now, and we can work together to get you where you need to be.
