I grew up in Vermont and after spending a year abroad (Finland 1997), attended St. Lawrence University where I was theatre major. After graduating from St. Lawrence (2001), I studied acting and improv at the New Actors' Workshop in New York. Eventually, I made my way to Albany Law School where I graduated in 2008. My wife, Dr. Elizabeth Sabourin (a school psychologist in Niskayuna), and I have two
children: our oldest, Anna, is currently a Fourth Grader, and our youngest, Claire, is in Second Grade, at Guilderland Elementary School. I am a partner in the Albany office of the law firm Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP, where I practice complex commercial construction litigation and contract law. My initial impetus in running for the Board is that I have been greatly discouraged by the recent positions/statements by some current Board members regarding the District's goal of addressing systemic equity and diversity problems. In addition, I am concerned with the budget issues that will inevitably arise because of the Covid-19 pandemic. If elected to the Board of Education, I promise that I will always be an advocate for students, parents, taxpayers, and educators, alike. I hope you will join me in my campaign for the Guilderland Board of Education. If you have any questions, concerns, or thoughts, please do not hesitate to send me a message. Thank you for your support!
