Nathan Sabourin for Guilderland Schools Support Nathan Sabourin for Guilderland School Board Hello, I am Nathan Sabourin and a candidate for the Guilderland Board of Education.

I grew up in Vermont and after spending a year abroad (Finland 1997), attended St. Lawrence University where I was theatre major. After graduating from St. Lawrence (2001), I studied acting and improv at the New Actors' Workshop in New York. Eventually, I made my way to Albany Law School where I graduated in 2008. My wife, Dr. Elizabeth Sabourin (a school psychologist in Niskayuna), and I have two

children: our oldest, Anna, is currently a Fourth Grader, and our youngest, Claire, is in Second Grade, at Guilderland Elementary School. I am a partner in the Albany office of the law firm Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP, where I practice complex commercial construction litigation and contract law. My initial impetus in running for the Board is that I have been greatly discouraged by the recent positions/statements by some current Board members regarding the District's goal of addressing systemic equity and diversity problems. In addition, I am concerned with the budget issues that will inevitably arise because of the Covid-19 pandemic. If elected to the Board of Education, I promise that I will always be an advocate for students, parents, taxpayers, and educators, alike. I hope you will join me in my campaign for the Guilderland Board of Education. If you have any questions, concerns, or thoughts, please do not hesitate to send me a message. Thank you for your support!

Congrats and thanks for your years of service.

Congratulations to Julia Healy, selected educator for !

Julia is a librarian at Lynwood Elementary School (Guilderland Central School District) and was nominated by a fellow educator! Here's what they wrote:

"Julia Healy goes above and beyond her normal library duties and classes. She is beloved by students and colleagues. In addition to her regular classes she teaches she balances a vibrant library filled with students every minutes of the day. Most mornings students are racing off the bus and immediately heading to Mrs. Healy’s desk even before heading to their classrooms and frequently end the day ducking into the library for that last book to take out or to enjoy an activity Mrs. Healy provides for them. She demonstrates amazing leadership, collaboration and serves as an outstanding model for all that work with her. We are so fortunate to have her in our building and as a colleague. "

Thank you for making a difference!
