It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of two members of service who lost their lives in a horrific accident in the early hours of this morning.

It is with sadness that we report the death of a beloved member of our community. Steve Malagraph was a retired NYPD ESU officer and EMT, who continued to serve his community to the best of his ability as a nurse at Nyack Hospital.

Our thoughts are with his loved ones and family. We've got it from here brother.

We'd like to wish our law enforcement officers a happy Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Our officers accompany us on every call we go to and are always willing to help in any way we need. Your work does not go unnoticed, thanks for always protecting us and our citizens!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the soldiers who have been deployed overseas and with their families. Though there have been no reported American fatalities in yesterday's attacks on two American bases in Iraq, others in the area haven't been so fortunate.

Pray for our soldiers overseas, they're in harm's way every single day now.

The membership and administration of Sloatsburg EMS would like to offer our condolences, thoughts, and prayers for the victims and families of those involved in last night's incident in Monsey. No one deserves to live in fear or celebrate their holidays in fear, for any reasons.

We also would like to applaud the numerous EMS and Police, local to federal, who responded and did an excellent job.
