When choosing the lettering on a headstone, lean towards styles that are timeless. Serif fonts will always look good on a headstone, and with them you can easily discern between a mix of upper and lowercase. But whenever possible, avoid script, styled, and sans-serif fonts. These can look cool, but in 10, 15, or 50 years you will regret falling prey to design trends.
