We've had a truly wonderful Friday. This morning, we had the pleasure of enjoying coffee and long johns with friends and family. I thank all my helpers who come in and help with coffee and donuts. I appreciate you so much. Definitely one of the highlights of our week. Afterwards, a resident and I went to the store and did some shopping; he derived great pleasure from getting out and enjoying the outdoors today. This afternoon, Stan and his lovely wife visited us to play the piano and sing songs for the residents.

This morning commenced with an intense game of Balloon 🎈 bump. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed whacking the balloon around and engaging in physical activity. Prior to lunch, we reminisced about our favorite childhood meals and discussed the evolution of food trends. This afternoon, our esteemed Bingo ladies from the VFW joined us for a game of bingo. Cathi, as always, graciously provided her signature homemade delights. Today's sweet treats consisted of Rice Krispie chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, which were utterly delicious. We extend our gratitude for consistently spoiling our residents.

Happy National Housekeeping Week! Today we honored our housekeeping and laundry team! (Missing just one) We recognized their efforts with pizza and soda. They are an essential part of our team. We extend our sincerest gratitude for their tireless work and dedication to maintaining our facility's cleanliness and ensuring our residents' rooms are exceptional.

Hello and happy Wednesday! We started our day enjoying homemade butter with homemade bread. All the residents definitely enjoyed that and look forward to homemade goodies. We will definitely be making more butter and bread. Before lunch, we gathered for stretches and exercises. This afternoon, some ladies and I got together and played Scrabble. Some had never played but enjoyed learning a new skill. We hope to see your beautiful faces this Friday for long johns and coffee! ☕️

Wow, what a fun day we had! We started our day off going back in time. We made homemade butter this morning and will enjoy it tomorrow with homemade bread; the residents absolutely loved watching the butter come to life! Afterwards, SC Nazarene church was in-house to provide Bible study. Thank you so much for providing services to our residents! This afternoon, after lunch and a brief nap, we had residents' council followed by some fun-filled bingo with Darcy here to help! We appreciate her coming in to help. ❤️ One picture was snapped during that time, and I apologize for that. Sometimes we just start having so much fun we forget pictures. We trust that you had a productive day. We commenced our day with several rounds of dominoes and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Prior to lunch, we engaged in some invigorating exercise and stretches. This afternoon, we participated in a game of bingo while savoring snacks and refreshments. What a fun filled day.

We hope everyone had a blessed Thursday. This morning we had self-directed activities, as I was not present in the house this morning. This afternoon we convened with our VFW ladies and played Bingo and enjoyed delectable treats prepared and provided by Cathi Holt. The residents are particularly fond of her homemade goodies. We so appreciate VFW coming out every Thursday to spend time with our residents and host bingo. We enjoy your company. We also commemorated Wanda's successful completion of Physical Therapy! We take immense pride in our residents and delight in celebrating their achievements. We look forward to seeing your lovely faces tomorrow at 10 a.m. for coffee and rolls.

Today we celebrated Wanda! She set a goal for herself to complete physical therapy and regain her strength so she could safely return home! Today she has successfully accomplished her goal and we couldn’t be more proud of her. Wanda worked super hard over the last month and tomorrow she gets to return home. Keep up the fantastic work Wanda, we are all here rooting for you!

We have had a busy couple of days. Yesterday, we created owls to hang around for Fall, an activity that our residents thoroughly enjoyed. Afterwards, we convened for Bible study, which was graciously provided by the First Christian Church; we appreciate their dedication to providing spiritual enrichment for our residents. Every Tuesday is, of course, Bingo day, and we were delighted to have Darcy and Sheryl join in on the fun and assist our residents who required help. Darcy also managed to complete some additional nail painting. ❤️ We are grateful for their willingness to spend time with us. Today was BBQ day, and we were thrilled to have Lori join us this morning for a sun catcher painting activity; once these are dry, our residents will proudly display them in the windows. We will share photographs of these tomorrow. Prior to lunch, we participated in exercises and stretches. Our BBQ featured an array of delicious grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, and sides. Ken graciously joined us on BBQ day, regaling us with his guitar, harmonica, and vocal talents. Thank you, Ken, for providing exceptional entertainment; we truly appreciate your presence.
