The time for change is now! Enough is enough with these Pharmacy Benefit Managers(PBMs) that have monopolized and crushed our profession! If you have been forced to leave your local, family-owned hometown independent pharmacy and get your scripts filled at a major chain like CVS, Walmart, Walgreens or mailorder itโs ๏ฟผmost likely been a direct result of a PBM forcing you to leave and not your choice to leave the pharmacy that knows you by name and cares for you like family & friends๐ฉท๐ฉต Please speak up about it to your state and federal legislators if you have experiences about this!
๐จ BREAKING: A new audit from the TN Dept. of Commerce & Insurance exposes widespread violations by Caremark/CVS Health's PBM, including discriminatory reimbursements (paying their own affiliated pharmacies up to 16,000% more than non-affiliated pharmacies), banned spread pricing, and system failures in pharmacy appeals. Tennessee pharmacists, patients, and employers deserve better.
