We want to congratulate our resident Brent on completing his course of radiation cancer treatments! 🎉 We celebrated after his final treatment by going to get a shake from his favorite place, Big J's, and by surprising him with a “graduation walk” (with the help of some of our new caregivers here for training). As our community grieves the passing of Gilbert Salas, our dear friend, incredible chef, and beloved dietary director, we want to invite all who knew him and felt the impact of his food & friendship to join us in celebration of his life at Birch Creek on April 23rd from 6:30-7:30 pm. If you ever had one of Gilbert's cheesecakes, it was probably one of the best you've ever had. It is only fitting to him and his love of friendly competition to share his memory through a community cheesecake bake-off. If you have memories to share of Gilbert, we also invite you to share them below and on April 23rd. ❤️
