Rachel’s journey to midwifery is rooted in both science and heart. With a background in natural sciences and nursing, she was drawn to working holistically with women and families and to supporting physiologic birth through evidence-based care.

Through her work as a midwife, Rachel brings a calm, thoughtful presence to every birth with the perfect dose of information and knowledge! We are so thankful for her and blessed to have her on our team.

Our Story

Gaia Midwives is an independent practice offering midwifery services to families on Long Island. With privileges at Nassau University Medical Center, our midwives can attend births at the only hospital on Long Island that offers water birth. Our services also include home birth to clients who have low risk pregnancies with the ability to safely transfer to a higher level of care when needed. In addition, Gaia Midwives can provide well-woman care throughout the life-cycle.
