This well established small animal practice is dedicated to the care and well-being of its patients. Mary L.

Leister, DVM, is a veterinarian with twenty seven years of veterinary experience. Raised in Stony Brook, she studied veterinary medicine at the prestigious Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Experience includes spending seven years practicing with a leading veterinary practice in Bellport, New York; twelve years at Nesconset Animal Hospital; per diem work at Mount Sinai Animal Hospital for the past eight years; and two years serving the community at the Brookhaven Town Shelter Spay and Neuter Clinic.

What is a Veterinary Technician?

Pawsitively the BEST-🐾
A veterinary technician is an animal nurse.
They are often the Veterinarians right hand man, the voice of the animals that are hospitalized, the anesthesiologist during surgery’s, the phlebotomist, the radiology technician, a surgical assistant, the dog wrangler & cat catcher, the patient lunch lady, the one that holds the paws even in the toughest times.

They are super woman. They are the heart & soul of a veterinary staff.

This week during national ✨Veterinary Technician Week✨we’d like to honor Veterinary Technician Kristen, aspiring technicians Darlene & Jalyn, and our wonderful assistant Denise for all their hard work, dedication, and LOVE towards your wonderful pets and our purrrfect patients ❤️
