We’re thrilled to welcome Kelly Matthews, Family Nurse Practitioner to the Southern DPC family! 🎉 Starting August 12th, Kelly will begin seeing new patients—and her panel is officially open for enrollment!

Kelly is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a heart for rural communities and a passion for patient-centered care. With over 4 years of experience as an NP (and more than a decade in healthcare overall), she brings a steady hand and a compassionate ear to every visit. She’s practiced in small-town clinics just like ours, where relationships matter and care is personal.

Kelly believes healthcare should be accessible, respectful, and collaborative. She listens, educates, and walks alongside her patients to create meaningful, individualized plans that fit their lives—not just their lab work.

Happy Nurses Week to my FAVORITE nurse of ALL TIME- my daughter Mariah Segel! I never suggested she become a nurse growing up and honestly, it wasn’t even on my radar, yet this is the profession she chose and let me tell you she is rocking it! She takes care of the sickest little humans in the PICU at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston and does an amazing job. It is so hard to see children suffering and in pain, but I know she cares for them with such love and compassion and gives so much comfort to the parents of those kiddos. If you know her, tell her how much you love her and that someday she needs to join us at Southern Direct Primary Care! 😁
