Stress doesn’t just affect your mood—it can take a real toll on your body, impacting sleep, digestion, heart health, and your immune system. Taking time to care for yourself isn’t a luxury—it’s essential.

Simple steps can make a big difference: take a short walk, practice deep breathing, get enough rest, and give yourself moments to pause during the day. Even a few minutes of intentional self-care can help your body reset and better manage stress.

Taking care of your mental well-being supports your overall health—mind and body work together.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, you’re not alone. Support is available. 💙

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Carl Electric Co, LLC for stepping in when we needed help the most.

While we were out of town in Luling, they answered an urgent call, made the necessary repair, and even took the time to advise us on important adjustments moving forward. Their generosity didn’t stop there—they chose not to charge us for the service. What an incredible blessing!

It’s people and businesses like this that keep us going and remind us why we do what we do—serving those who need care the most.

From the depths of our hearts—thank you. 💙

Healthy habits start with what’s on your plate.

A balanced diet helps fuel your body, boost your energy, and support your overall well-being. Try to include a mix of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats in your meals throughout the day.

Even small changes—like drinking more water, adding an extra serving of veggies, or choosing whole foods—can make a big difference over time.

Remember, it’s not about being perfect. It’s about making consistent choices that help you feel your best.

Taking care of your mental health is one of the most important things you can do—and reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

There are moments when life feels overwhelming, when the weight of everything becomes hard to carry alone. In those moments, it’s okay to pause, to breathe, and to ask for support. You don’t have to have all the answers—you just have to take the first step.

At the Smithville Community Clinic, compassionate care is here for you. Our behavioral health services provide a safe, respectful space to talk, process, and begin moving forward—at your own pace.

You are not alone. Your story matters. And there is hope, even on the hardest days.

If you or someone you know is struggling, reaching out could be the first step toward healing.

Our Executive Director, Kristi Farquar, loves sharing about the work happening at the Smithville Community Clinic! Thank you Lion Sharlene and the Smithville Noon Lion's Club for inviting us to speak!

Kristi Farquar, the Executive Director of the Smithville Community Clinic was the speaker today at Smithville Noon Lions Club. The Clinic is expanding and growing. There are now four departments. All services are free, thanks to grants and donations. Just a little clinic doing massive things.
