Don’t overdo it before you train. A heavy meal can slow you down and make your workout feel harder than it should. Go for something light with carbs and protein to fuel your energy.

After your workout, that’s when it’s time to refuel. Focus on getting enough protein to repair muscle and carbs to replenish energy stores.
