Recently, we did some corn shuckin' in the courtyard. We had a great time reminiscing about times we sat on the porch and shared the task with friends and neighbors. Ms. JD's grandson and great-grandson stopped by to visit and transformed it into this fun multigenerational activity. Later, we had our fresh corn with lunch. Delish!

We had a thrilling day today. It started with the first beautiful tomato picked from our very own garden. We can hardly wait to taste it. After gardening, we took care of our feathered friends by replenishing the bird feeder and bath. They must have been waiting for it, because they immediately rejoined us and entertained us for the remainder of the morning. Later, we ended the day with a much anticipated and well- attended Butterbean Auction. Nobody enjoyed it more than Ms. Cedi, who took to bidding like it was second nature. She made quite a haul.
