Four years ago today we started our practice. We’ve invested four years of literal blood sweat and tears, and it’s been the most rewarding experience I could ever imagine.
Coincidentally we had the joy of celebrating our residency this weekend with a reunion in Michigan.
It not lost to me that I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for one man. Daniel Stewart, DO.
He fought hard to become a dermatologist. He fought hard to MAKE a dermatology residency program. And he fought hard to get me into residency.
There are not many people that I can say changed the course of my life, but this man did. His love, passion and GRIT for education changed my life.
My attendings Dr. Heidelberg, Altman and Gildenberg and fellowship director Dr. Krach also believed in me and lit a fire that I didn’t know was there. I am so fortunate that I was surrounded by people who enabled and supported me to become a better me.
Grateful.
I’m just so grateful.
