April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙
At its core, this month is about one simple but powerful truth:
Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen.
Child Abuse Prevention Month, recognized nationally since 1983, is a time for communities to come together to raise awareness and take action to protect children and strengthen families. (Prevent Child Abuse America)
As counselors, parents, and community members, we all play a role. Prevention starts with:
✨ Safe, supportive relationships
✨ Open conversations
✨ Access to resources and help
Sometimes it’s checking in on a parent.
Sometimes it’s creating a space where a child feels heard.
Sometimes it’s simply showing up.
This month—and every month—we stand for stronger families, healthier children, and a community that cares. 💙
