I really needed this reminder today. I have been “floating” for a bit, myself.
That said, I’m getting back into the swing of life, learning new things, and making plans. Meanwhile, I am available again for appointments. Feel free to reach out with questions or to schedule. (Initial discovery calls are always free.)💕

“Your thoughts become your beliefs,
Your beliefs become your truth,
Your truth becomes your story,
Your story becomes your reality.”

For much of my life, I believed I was stupid, ugly, and unworthy of love or friendship. Looking back, I now realize how much I oozed anger and negativity. Of course I had very few friends. I wouldn’t have wanted to be friends with me, either!

I still struggle with believing in myself sometimes, but I have come a long way. I’d like to believe I’m no longer my own worst enemy. 💞

How does your mindset hold you back from living your best life?

Amidst all the chaos, sometimes we just have to stop and spend a quiet moment enjoying the beauty around us. While sitting in traffic recently, I glanced over and noticed a park near the river. I made a last second decision to pull in and see it. I’m so glad I took the extra five minutes!

I read this statement today and it hit home. “Iron sharpens iron.”
Have you been dealing with difficult situations or difficult people lately? Perhaps, as irritating as might be, it’s helping smooth your rough edges and expose your flaws so you can become the person you are meant to be. Knives don’t slice well, and are more likely to cause collateral damage when they are dull.
Likewise, we can’t grow and better ourselves if we are never challenged. It’s a matter of what we do with those challenges and what direction we take because of them.
What challenges are you facing today, and how are you dealing with it?

Do you look at others and have any of these thoughts cross your mind?
“I wish I could be like them.”
“I wish I could do what they do.”
“I not good enough because I’m struggle to [fill in the blank].”
“I’m not really good at anything.“
I would bet that you can do something that I can’t, and you probably do so without even thinking about it.
I encourage you to remember that we all have different gifts. That’s what makes each of us special. That’s also what makes this world work.
One of my gifts is being supportive of others. Most of the time, that looks like being in the background, making the successful people/things happen, while no one even notices I’m there. Sometimes that means being lashed out at for someone’s personal shortcomings or insecurities, because I appear an to be an easy target. (That’s another topic for another day.)
I’m fortunate, because I have a husband who often reminds me that, even though my contributions aren’t always seen by others, they are always there and always felt. Not everyone has someone like that in their lives, so I’m going to do it for you right now.
Please don’t ever underestimate how much you contribute to this world and to those around you. Today I celebrate you and your gifts/contributions. Take a quiet moment today to take a moment to think about this:
What are your gifts?
What thing, large or small, do you do contributes positively to this world of ours?

Amidst the chaos that is our life right now, my husband and I took a long weekend to get away, recharge, and celebrate an old friend.
The Honu (green sea turtles), Kilauea volcano, Manta Rays, and a tour of a seahorse farm were some highlights, as well as simply enjoying the view and resting on the beach.
Remember to take time for yourself. Also remember to take time to connect with your spouse/significant other if you have one. We are always so much healthier when we take time to nurture ourselves.

I’ve been quiet. This is the reason.
What you see in this picture is the remains of the home I have shared with my little family for the last 12 years. I was sad to see it go, but am excited for what will come in its place. It’s a bit of a metaphor for life. Sometimes we have to let go of what is holding us back in order to be healthy and grow.

Let’s talk about change.

I’m dealing with some huge changes, and the ensuing chaos, right now. I won’t lie, it’s challenging. I know the outcome will be worth it in the end. But getting there? Big plot twist for a gal who craves consistency.
I have to remind myself to take small breaks, breathe, and appreciate the beauty of life so I don’t get overwhelmed.

How do you handle change? Drop a comment and let me know!

Change is not always easy, but there will still be beauty if you look for it.
