Sauna on the River is back for fall at

Here’s what’s new:

We’ll be setting up the sauna at site 3. There’s great river access and hopefully some views of Mt Index directly from the sauna.

That means site 6 (where we’ve set up previously) is available to book. If you book site 6 October 17-19, you’ll get complimentary access to the sauna throughout the weekend. Book now through

Community sauna is back! August 2-3rd we return to our favorite spot on the river

Here’s a suggestion for a perfect day:

1. Take a hike at one of the many trails nearby (DM if you want a suggestion)

2. Arrive for your session and hop into the river to cool down and reduce inflammation.

3. Get into our woodfired sauna to warm back up and increase circulation and flush out lactic acid.

Repeat several times and relax!

This pretty much sums up the finish line this weekend. I had such a great time helping the runners recover in the cold plunge and sauna after running almost 200 miles from the Canadian border down to Whidbey Island as a team of 12 over 2 days.

I loved meeting all the interesting people that traveled from all across the country to do this and I’m glad they left our station feeling better than how they came.

Hot sauna with cool people 😁

Last week we set up a post workout private sauna and cold plunge session for in Lake Stevens. It was so much fun!

This weekend we’ll have the sauna set up on the river again in Index. Details are in the link in our bio.

Start your week off strong! Our mobile wood-fired sauna will be set up at alongside the pop-up shop and community run on Sunday, May 25th. Come for a community sauna session by itself, or before or after your run. We’ll also have the cold plunge set up to cool down between sauna sessions.

Each sauna reservation includes 1 hour of sauna/cold plunge time and 12oz drink from our friends at across the street.

Sauna step one: keep your wood dry 🙂

But no, there is not a sauna behind that shed door. I’ve been working on this shed the last couple weekends and am super happy with how it turned out. Sauna prep and build will begin soon.

This must be the place.

When we moved into our home two years ago, this area was completely overgrown and unrecognizable.

I always thought this was a special place. It is as isolated as you can get in a semi-rural area with no neighbors on either side and plenty of privacy provided by the trees.

In the coming months, this area will begin to look a lot different as we prepare to build our sauna.

Our sauna will feature traditional Finnish-style design, with a state of the art electric heater and cedar benches. We will also offer a variety of amenities, such as a cold plunge tub, showers, and relaxation areas to enhance your sauna experience.
