This picture might not mean much to you.

But to me, this picture symbolizes hard work, patience, perseverance, and the love of a fierce mama who didn’t accept that her child didn’t want to eat more than 3 foods, was behind on speech, and had significant sensory processing challenges.

This mama advocated HARD for her child out of deep love. Because she knew deep down that so much more was possible for him.

And that leads me to this picture.

Eating granola with quinoa, chia, pumpkin, coconut, and sunflower seeds and loving it so much that he is eating directly out of the pot.

Even just 1 month ago, I would have never thought this possible.

Yesterday he ate homemade yogurt sweetened with jam with topped with poppyseeds.

What?!?

This is the magic that can happen when you have the deep belief that picky eating isn’t how it has to be.

“She tried school lunch for the first time ever!”

Real wins from a picky eating parent 🍎🥪🎉

This week, I started a session with a parent exclaiming:

“This week has been really good for Myra.”

Her mom shared that after just a few small changes, Myra:

✔️ Stopped complaining of tummy aches

✔️ Tried a bite of Japanese curry and liked it

✔️ Ate school lunch (fruit + a cheese sandwich!) for the first time ever

No more pressuring.

No more bribing.

Just simple structure and smart exposure—like letting her try apples at school without mom hovering.

(Spoiler: She did great.)

They also made guac with chickpeas blended in—and she gobbled it up.

She’s even eating flaxseed in her oatmeal and doesn’t notice a thing.

I know it’s hard.

The playdates. The birthday parties. The side-eyes when you pull out your own snacks.

But here’s the truth:
You’re not making things harder — you’re making things better.
