This month we are trying Caitlin’s burger bowl recipe!

Ingredients:
• 1-2lbs grassfed/pastured ground meat of choice seasoned or hamburger patty - use lentil or black beans for a vegetarian option
• Your favorite potato - sweet, russet, red, gold
• Greens of choice - romaine, mixed, arugula...
• Topping options: thinly sliced or sauteed onion, tomato, pickles, fresh or sauteed bell peppers, shredded cheese, fried egg, nitrate free bacon, avocado, sauteed mushrooms, black beans, jalapenos...

The sauce
• 1/4 cup mayo (or plain organic full fat Greek yogurt)
• 1 tbsp ketchup
• 1 tsp mustard
• 1 tsp pickle juice
• Dash of garlic powder
Mix together and drizzle on top!

Instructions:
• Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and spread evenly on the baking sheet. Roast 20 to 30 minutes (flipping halfway through cooking), or until tender and golden brown around the edges.
• Construct! Add greens to the bottom of the bowl. Next add potatoes and protein of choice. Last, add your favorite toppings and the sauce! There is no wrong answer.

We had the best time learning all about the anatomy of breast-feeding from Dr. Lynn Gerner this weekend!

Chiropractic addresses the structural and neurological changes in babies that can be contributing to feeding struggles. We analyze the baby’s whole body system, and use very gentle adjustments to the cranial bones and spine as needed for each baby. This encourages optimal nervous system function, which allows their system to unwind, relax, and find relief. 👶🌱

Some of Caitlin’s tasty and nutritious go-to smoothie recipes:

💛Sweet Berry Lemon Bliss💛
1 cup organic milk
1 spoonful- ¼ cup organic plain Greek yogurt
½ heaping cup mixed berries
1 scoop Just Ingredients Lemon Swish Protein Powder (vanilla or chocolate would be great too)
1 tbsp h**p hearts
1 tbsp chia seeds
handful frozen cauliflower

🤎High Protein Chocolate PB🤎
1 cup milk of choice
1 frozen banana
1.5 tbsp organic nut butter of choice
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (or vanilla protein powder + 1 tbsp cacao powder)
1 tbsp cacao nibs or 85% dark chocolate chunks
½ tsp vanilla extract
*top with additional cacao nibs or dark chocolate for an added crunch

💚Tropical Green Smoothie💚
1 ¼ cup almond milk
⅓ cup frozen strawberries
½ cup frozen pineapple
Handful of frozen spinach or kale
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp ground flax
1 tsp camu powder (high vitamin C)
½ tsp spirulina powder (SUPERFOOD)

In 2009, Dr Morgan Binnie started her chiropractic career in the Midwest, and has been helping people not only get out of pain, but also inspire and empower people to reach their health goals. With a background in health and wellness, pediatric neurology, auto accident recovery, chiropractic in pregnancy care, Dr Morgan has a thorough understanding of the musculoskeletal and neurological system and knows what it takes to champion patient’s needs.

Fast forward: after practicing in Bothell for four years, it was time to open her practice closer to home. So Dr Morgan opened Snohomish Family Chiropractic in Snohomish, Washington.
