To build resilience against political ups and downs, you can focus on nurturing stability in areas of your life where you have more control and on strengthening your mental, emotional foundation. Here are some strategies:
Limit Media Consumption: Stay informed, but set boundaries around how much time you spend on political news, especially during intense cycles. This can reduce stress and prevent overloading on often negative or polarizing updates.
Invest in Self-Care and Mental Health: Practicing mindfulness, meditation, or journaling can help you process emotions and reduce anxiety. Mental resilience will allow you to respond to events more thoughtfully and less reactively.
Focus on Your Sphere of Influence: Identify the areas in your life that you can control, such as your personal habits, relationships, and career goals. Building positive changes here can make you feel empowered despite what’s happening in politics.
Engage Locally: Engage in your local community to feel a stronger sense of connection and see tangible impacts of your contributions. Local actions and relationships can have a profound effect on your day-to-day experience, often more than national politics.
Reconnect with Values and Purpose: Identify your core values and what gives your life meaning beyond politics. When you stay anchored to personal values, you can keep a balanced perspective, regardless of who’s in power.
Seek Community: Surround yourself with people who share your goals and values or who also strive for a balanced approach. Strong, supportive relationships can provide emotional stability, especially when political tension is high.

As the holiday season approaches, many of us may feel the weight of expectations around family, partners, children and our roles in the world. While this time can be filled with joy, it can also bring up challenges in our relationships and stir feelings of uncertainty or discomfort within ourselves.

I’m offering laser coaching sessions to help you navigate any difficult feelings or situations that might arise. Whether it’s building confidence in your interactions or simply finding a sense of safety and peace within yourself, I’m here to help you move through it with more ease.
What is laser coaching?
Laser coaching works on the principle that there is a truth in every situation, a truth that may not always be obvious. My approach to laser coaching helps bring that truth to the surface and supports you in facing it square on, then deciding on the appropriate action. This process involves being willingly challenged to “get to the point,” with searching questions designed to uncover a deeper level of truth about the issue at hand. As the saying goes, "The truth will set you free—but it may p**s you off in the process."
This is not psychotherapy, and it’s not about telling long stories. It’s a direct approach to gaining clarity and moving forward with confidence. Because of this, one session is sometimes all it takes to get what you need.

I am thrilled to share the news! Starting in the New Year, join our meditation group Tuesdays, 7-8:30pm. Never meditated? No worries, I've got you! Battling anxiety? No worries, I've got you too! It's a safe haven for all, embracing every aspect of you in our weekly journey of self-discovery and relaxation.
Meditation will be held at Snohomish Natural Health and the cost is a monthly fee of $60 per month.
