Here are the facts:

A 12-year longitudinal study published in The British Medical Journal found that individuals with stronger leg function showed significantly lower all-cause mortality rates, notably compared to those in the weakest performance groups

An international study analyzing over 1.9 million individuals reported that those with strong leg muscles had a 14% lower risk of early death compared to those with weak legs. Additionally, men with poor leg strength had double the risk of early mortality.

Keeping those legs strong is crucial as you age.
