The EPA recently announced a two-year registration for over-the-top dicamba products (Engenia, Tavium, and Stryax), NC State Extension plans to continue the Auxin Herbicides-Best Management Practices for 2026. In addition to the NCSU Extension training, applicators are welcome to fulfill their training requirement via trainings offered by manufacturers, BASF, Bayer, and Syngenta.

Although encouraged, applicators using the Enlist products are NOT required to receive training.

Given the success of the hybrid trainings, we will continue that in 2026. See details below for more specifics.

Floating Seed Swap in Snow Hill!

Are you a gardening enthusiast?
Do you have a stash of seeds that you may want to share with others?
Do you want to meet other gardeners and find unique and/or different varieties that work for Eastern NC?

Join us with your seeds!
We will have seed envelopes and supplies available to split packages.

Floating means come when you are available and swap with those that are there at that time.

Greene County Extension is partnering with the Agromedicine Institute to offer respirator fit testing and medical clearance. Fit testing will be offered on January 29, 2026 in the Elaney Wood Farmers Market (470 US-13, Snow Hill, NC 28580) by appointment only, please contact the Greene County Extension Office: 252-747-5831 to make an appointment.

Fees:
• Respirator fit testing and medical clearance: $55
• Medical clearance or fit testing (one service): $30
• You are not required to obtain medical clearance through the Agromedicine Institute; however, if you obtain medical clearance from another source, you must bring proof of your medical clearance on the day of the fit test.

Important:
• Please bring a clean respirator that you plan to use to the fit test.
• You must be clean shaved.
• Again, if you have already received your medical clearance please bring proof or you will not be able to be fit tested unless you do your medical clearance again.
