At 7 years old, she decided the theme—so she picked fruit 🍓🍍🍑
Because obviously that makes perfect sense.

Today they got their names and collars…

Well Bonnie and Lily both said my calender was stupid and decided now was a good time.
Last Saturday Bonnie welcomed 11 babies into the world. Unfortunately one was just too little. :(
This past Tuesday Lily welcome 8 babies. She wasn't so sure about the mommy thing, so we've been supervising her feeds. :)

All are doing well and growing.

🐾 Breeding Announcement – Bonnie × Torch 🐾
We’re excited to share that Bonnie has been bred to Torch, and we’re looking forward to welcoming this litter here at Desert Oasis Kennels.
This will be our first litter with Torch, and we’re excited to bring his older Chesapeake lines into our program. He carries the kind of classic Chesapeake type, coat, and character that has become harder to find today.
Bonnie is a strong female with great natural drive and a wonderful bond with her people. This pairing represents the direction we continue to build toward in our program — preserving the traditional Chesapeake Bay Retriever while prioritizing health, temperament, and sound structure.
Pedigree and health testing information are available for those interested.

🐾 Breeding Announcement 🐾

We’re excited to officially announce a highly anticipated litter between Lily and Ghost!

Lily is a special keeper from our 2022 Ramases litter, and we’ve been patiently waiting for the right opportunity to pair her. Anyone who knows Lily knows she likes to keep things interesting — her heat cycles are incredibly clean and easy to miss, which has made timing a challenge. This time we finally caught it, and the ultrasound confirmed what we were hoping for… puppies are on the way!

This pairing brings together strong working instincts, solid temperaments, and the classic Chesapeake character we strive to preserve. We’re very excited to see what Lily and Ghost produce together.

More updates will come as Lily progresses through her pregnancy and we get closer to whelping.

We got back Mr. Murdoch back some time ago. We were planning to keep him and add him to our program, but we already have his sister and half sister and he's just wasted here. :(
He is Ghost/Scarlet
Looking for his own couch.
Not neutered, best with female dogs.

Also have Zelda and Scarlet 8yo this July.
Zelda is spayed Scarlet is not. Would love for them to retire on a couch. No females for those two.

After a lot of thought and reflection, I’ve made the decision to step away from offering general client dog training services.

Moving forward, I will only be training my own dogs and puppies, along with a very limited number of select clients. If you are already enrolled I will honor that agreement.

This wasn’t an easy choice. I’m incredibly grateful for the families who have trusted me with their dogs over the years. Your support has meant more than you know.

At this season in life, my time and energy need to be focused on my kennel program, my own dogs, and the other parts of my business that are growing. In order to do those well, I have to simplify.

Thank you for understanding and for continuing to support what we’re building here. ❤️
