The phytochemicals and antioxidants neutralize toxins from food, the environment, and more. The antioxidants reduce free radicals and protect cells from oxidation. Free radicals have been linked to the formation and proliferation of cancer cells. Prolonged inflammation can increase the risk of cancer and other inflammatory disorders, such as arthritis.
