On Monday, our new provider, Patricia Conner, NP presented to the children of Thirkill Elementary on ways that they can stay healthy. This presentation was included as part of our sponsorship of the school’s upcoming Fun Run. A flyer about Patricia’s services and capabilities went home with students. If you are needing a new provider for your kids, Patricia is an excellent choice — she has over six years of experience working in a pediatrician office, specifically with children!

How much do you know about our ER? Here are some quick facts.

-You will almost always have NO WAIT when you come to our ER. We can get you in right away! We are also the closest ER from anywhere in Caribou County, which means you'll have a short drive time to our door.

-Our #1 goal is to keep patients here, close to home, without having to transfer them for their care. We know it can be inconvenient and frustrating to come here only to be transferred to another facility -- it's timely and expensive! We are always seeking to improve our level of care and have made great strides towards that goal in recent years. Our ER staff is expertly trained and experienced in emergency medicine, and we provide them ample continuing education opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills.

-That said... We are a level 4 trauma center, meaning we are equipped with skilled staff and technology to provide initial evaluation, stabilization, and care up to a certain level, but if the need arises, we have protocols and agreements in place with surrounding facilities for transferring if the need arises.

-We are open 24/7, all year long. We have a provider on-call at all times; 24/7 laboratory and radiology, including CT scans; MRIs 3 days a week; an in-house pharmacy; and are STEMI certified.

If you have spent any time in our ER in the recent past, odds are you've met Tanner Davis. He is a PA who works in our emergency department as one of our providers.

Tanner is a Soda native who recently moved back to Soda Springs after living in Southern California for several years with his family. He studied Biochemistry at Utah State, and then went to PA school at Clarkson University in New York. He has a beautiful wife and 4 awesome kids!

Tanner has many passions. He loves and excels at photography/videography and creating music (he plays the piano, organ, cello, trombone, and sings)! One of his passions is emergency medicine, and we are so lucky to have him as part of the team here at CMC.

Tanner loves making a difference in the everyday lives of his patients. He says, "While I may see certain conditions regularly, it is a first experience for a lot of people when they come into an ER. I like to keep patients informed and help calm their fears."
