Dr. Patrick C. Huffman is a Naturopathic Physician who practices a Holistic approach to medicine. He has been practicing medicine in Alaska since 1998. He received his medical degree from the oldest Naturopathic medical school, National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR. Dr. Huffman also holds a Bachelors degree in Health Science from James Madison University, Harrisonburg Virginia. In his practice, Dr. Huffman treats a wide variety of conditions, but, specializes in Women’s Hormones & Women’s Health, Pre-Natal & Post-Natal Care, Chronic Digestive Complaints, Thyroid Disorders, Heavy Metal & Chemical Toxicity, Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes, Allergies, ADD/ADHD, Depression & Anxiety, Chronic Headaches/Migraines, Chronic Back Pain and Alternative Cancer Therapies, just to name a few. His approach to treatment is highly individualized to the particular patient. Each patient will receive a treatment plan tailored to them personally. To facilitate this, the first initial visit is one full hour and follow-up visits are one half hour. Dr. Huffman has a strong belief in the deep knowledge of the body and its ability to heal itself. Therefore, he does not treat or suppress symptoms, but strives to find the root cause of an illness and then proceeds to help the body heal itself with the LEAST potentially harmful therapy or medicine. These therapeutic modalities include, but are not limited to, Homeopathy, Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Supplementation, Naturopathic Manipulative Therapy, Intravenous Therapy, Vitamin Injections, PROLO Therapy and Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments. Dr. Huffman is fond of calling himself, “The Doctor of Last Resorts,” and welcomes patients who have tried other approaches without success.
Frontier Natural Health has two locations on the Kenai Peninsula. His Soldotna office is typically open Tuesdays and Wednesdays by appointment, while his Homer office is typically open Thursdays and Fridays by appointment. Both offices feel very “non-clinical” and comfortable. It has and always will be Dr. Huffman’s goal to treat patients with dignity, love and respect and to have everyone leave Frontier Natural Health feeling better than when they walked in.
