Kenai Peninsula’s preferred dentist, Mike Christensen, DDS has had a long and varied carrier in the dental field. He started out shadowing the office where his wife worked as a dental assistant. He knew almost immediately that he wanted to work in the dental field for the rest of his life. He earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, and Dr. Christensen has continued to complete advanced course work in order to offer a wide range of dental treatment options. Dr. Christensen has advanced training in dental implantology and surgery, plus he has become a certified Invisalign provider. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Christensen’s comprehensive training ensures he offers high quality dental treatments, but it’s his dedication to patient-centered care that sets Soldotna Dental Arts apart.

COVID 19 - CORONAVIRUS UPDATE FOR SOLDOTNA DENTAL ARTS -

We will be seeing ALL emergency dental patients!

Do NOT DELAY your dental treatment, without a proper exam and diagnosis the situation could worsen with time, and may result in more extensive treatment.

If you are in PAIN, PLEASE DO NOT VISIT YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL OR DOCTORS OFFICE!

We need to save those resources for other emergency patients not related to dental.

If times are hard for you financially during this time, we can help with a discount depending on the situation.

We would like to take the opportunity to help our patients, and all new patients needing dental care in the community during these hard times.

Please spread the word that we WILL BE TAKING PATIENTS!

We will be doing a screening of every patient before their visit, and sanitizing every single work station in our clinic to the fullest extent before and after seeing patients.

An old cantilever bridge with an abscessed tooth!
The cantilever was pesky to the patient and was a source for catching food constantly, and hard to floss. The abscess was destroying bone with infection while supporting the strength of the cantilever.

We sectioned the bridge, extracted the abscessed tooth with the cantilever attached, placed two implants, bone grafted the missing bone from the infection, placed PRF membrane to promote healing, and filled the missing spots with a two unit partial while the implants heal for only 3 months, and integrate with the bone!
Soon this patient will have 3 individual teeth to floss with no infection, and veneers on the neighboring teeth to perfectly match as they are his very front teeth! 🦷
