Greetings from NHCC. Just thought I would share some recent blessings and updates. In 2023 we received a grant from the MJ Murdock Charitable trust to expand and update our building. With the generosity of the grant and many, many, volunteers from all over the US, they added four counseling offices, a conference room, a new exit and gave the 15 year old portion a beautiful update. Here are some pictures of the project.

Greetings from New Hope Counseling Center!

I hope this update finds you well. Fall is in full bloom here in Alaska. The trees are yellow, the caribou have found their way back to our neighborhood, days are getting colder and shorter, and we’re starting week 5 with the students of Alaska Christian College.

As we enter into fall, I’d like to invite you to join us to participate in
our annual fall fundraisers and share a few highlights and exciting updates at New Hope Counseling Center and Alaska Christian College.

Evenings of Hope - This year we are changing up our venue a bit and hosting four mini dinners at Frosos Family Restaurant. We invite you to join us for one of these evenings where you’ll have the opportunity to hear updates about New Hope Counseling Center and Alaska Christian College and stories of hope from ACC students. During the program there will be a small live auction and an opportunity to make a financial gift to the ministry of New Hope Counseling Center to help us offer counseling services to the ACC students as part of their college experience.

Building Expansion & Remodel - Thanks to the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust and countless volunteers, we have been building and remodeling more hope over the last two summers. We have been blessed to build four new counseling offices and a multi-purpose conference room, and to give our existing building of fifteen years a fresh look. In addition, we have added a new exit hallway to offer more privacy. See the attached pictures.

ACC Graduated 13 Students Last Spring - See the attached pix of the 2024 graduates and please pray for their next steps.

ACC Opens its New Gym - ACC, too, has been blessed with incredibly generous donations and countless volunteer hours to build a new gym and wellness center on its campus. We pray this new gym offers a great space for fun and fitness to both the ACC community and our local communities.
