Veterans — do you know what a nexus letter is? It could be the difference between an approved claim and a denial.
A nexus letter is an independent medical opinion written by a qualified healthcare provider that establishes a direct link between your current condition and your military service — or between a new condition and one the VA has already rated.
The VA is not required to build your case for you. If that connection isn't documented and supported, they can — and will — deny your claim.
Here's where a nexus letter makes the biggest impact:
✅ First-time claims lacking medical evidence
✅ Denied claims where service connection wasn't established
✅ Secondary conditions related to an already service-connected disability
✅ Claims where the C&P exam didn't go in your favor
I'm Dr. William Baca — Doctor of Chiropractic and retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander. I served 20 years on active duty, 16 of them as a Naval Aerospace and Operational Physiologist. I didn't just treat service members — I was one. I understand what military service demands of the human body, and I know exactly what the VA needs to see in a well-supported medical opinion.
