Yesterday, Solon Retirement Village Community Relations Director, Scott Maiers, attended the Iowa Advocacy Day at the State Capitol on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association.
He was advocating for a Statewide Dementia Service Specialist program to address the increasing number of Iowans living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
THANK YOU to Kat Britt, Assistant Professor at The University of Iowa College of Nursing & Tad Hulst, Iowa City Alzheimer's Walk Manager for advocating with Scott. A very special thank you to Iowa State House Representatives; Elinor A. Levin, Dave Jacoby, & Adam Zabner for taking the time & discussing this important program.
