Individual therapy may improve their respect, confidence, and empathy skills. This often occurs when those with mental health issues struggle with their symptoms. Poor behaviors often develop as a result.

2.1 million people in the United States suffered from an opioid use disorder (OUD) related to prescription opioids, and 262,000 had an OUD pertaining to he**in. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) combines medications (methadone, buprenorphine, or naltrexone) with counseling and behavioral therapies. The study will examine how health and other patient outcomes vary across the three types of medications used in MAT and for patients receiving counseling-only treatment.

Group therapy is a form of therapy in which patients share their struggles with others who are also overcoming addiction. In group therapy, patients can discuss their struggles and receive advice and feedback from people who are not professionally trained but have been in similar situations. Group therapy sessions are usually guided by at least one therapist, who can help individuals process the information they learned during the session and help them work through any issues they might have experienced.
