THIGH LIFT
A thigh lift is designed to remove and reposition excess thigh skin and underlying tissues. Dr. Brandow can address sagging thighs for a firmer, slimmer-looking lower body with thigh lift surgery.
Who is a candidate?
If you have experienced a loss of skin elasticity of the thigh, hip or buttock areas.
If your skin area is saggy, has an orange peel, flabby and/or dimpled appearance.
If your thigh appearance improves dramatically when you lift the lax skin.
If you are self-conscious about your lower body appearance.
Intended Results
Tighter, more attractive thigh and buttock skin. Improved contours. Decreased irregularities in skin surface.

Procedure Description
The procedure is performed by a certified cosmetic surgeon, such as Dr. Brandow under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis unless otherwise advised by the surgeon. Dr. Brandow will show you what procedures are available to solve your particular problem. Wide variations in the design of the incisions to meet clothing or personal desires are possible. Lifting the inner thighs requires only short incisions extending from the anterior part of the thigh/groin crease around to the buttock crease. Lateral or anterior thigh lifts can be performed as separate procedures if desired. Lifting the entire thigh and buttock (circumferential lower body lift) will require much longer incisions that start in the buttock crease, extend around the groin, up over the side of the abdomen, over the flank and across the back. The buttocks can be lifted with upper or lower scars.

Recuperation and Healing
The patient is placed in a compression garment (similar to a long-line elastic support girdle) at the end of surgery to reduce swelling and assist in the natural shrinking and tightening of the skin.

Smaller thigh lifts: Initial discomfort is usually easily controlled with prescription pain medication.
Larger thigh lifts: One or two night’s care in a skilled nursing facility or hospital are usually required. This allows for pain injections, intravenous catheters, etc.

Bruising and swelling usually subside within a month, strenuous activities are usually possible in 6 weeks and almost all symptoms are gone in 4-6 months.

Other Options
Additional procedures that may enhance the result include Liposuction/Liposculpture, Breast Enlargement,Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), etc.

Insurance Guidelines
This procedure is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance. The patient is responsible for payment.

Note
The specific risks and the suitability of this procedure for a given individual can be determined only at the time of consultation. All surgical procedures have some degree of risk. Minor complications that do not affect the outcome occur occasionally. Major complications are unusual.

NECK LIPOSUCTION
Neck liposuction is done on an out-patient basis. General anesthesia is used during chin lipo for safety and comfort in the hospital or out-patient surgery center.
Who is a candidate for neck liposuction?
Patients who have excess fat around the neck and jawline are candidates for neck liposuction.
Those who would like to accentuate jawline definition are candidates for chin lipo. The jawline, neck, and chin are the common treatment areas.
Most neck liposuction patients are close to their ideal weight and are looking to achieve long-lasting enhancements to neck contours.
Advanced chin liposuction techniques now allow for more efficient fat removal.

Intended Results from Neck Liposuction
Neck liposuction is intended to achieve long-lasting enhancements to the contours and proportions of your neck and jawline to give you a more flattering facial profile.

Chin Liposuction Procedure Description
Chin liposuction is done on an out-patient basis using general anesthesia to ensure patient safety and comfort in the hospital or out-patient surgery center. If neck lipo is performed at The Brandow Clinic, a local anesthetic will be utilized. A certified plastic surgeon, such as Dr. Kirk Brandow, will insert tiny cannulas beneath the skin through very small incisions placed in inconspicuous locations around the neck. Unwanted fat is then removed to enhance contours.

Recuperation and Healing from Neck Liposuction
Following neck liposuction, the patient returns home with a compression garment (an exercise unitard that covers the treated areas following your surgery). The compression garment is advised for about a month as it can reduce swelling and ensure optimal healing. Initial discomfort from neck lipo is easily controlled with oral medication. Bruising and swelling usually subside in 2-4 weeks. The final result takes shape over 2-9 months.

Other Options to Enhance the Results of Chin Liposuction
Additional procedures that may enhance the result of chin liposuction are Facelift Surgery, Chin Implants, Eyelid Surgery, and Forehead Lift Surgery.

Insurance Guidelines
Neck liposuction is considered a cosmetic procedure and is therefore not covered by insurance. The patient is responsible for payment.

Note
The specific risks and the suitably of undergoing chin lipo for a given individual can be determined only at the time of consultation. It is important to note that all surgical procedures have some degree of risk. Minor complications that do not affect the outcome occur occasionally, but major complications are rare.

Philadelphia Facelift Surgery
The face is often one of the first areas to experience the signs of aging, resulting in loose or drooping skin. Fine lines, wrinkles and furrows may also begin to appear. Together, these effects contribute to an older, tired appearance. The Brandow Clinic offers face lift surgery to restore younger-looking contours to the upper, mid and lower face. Undergoing a facelift can address jowls, forehead lines, crow’s feet, fine lines and neck wrinkles in one procedure.

Facelift surgeon Dr. Brandow is a top plastic surgeon with decades of experience performing facial plastic surgery. He is dedicated to achieving natural, beautiful results that accentuate your existing facial features. Dr. Brandow will work with you to best achieve your face lift surgery goals and revitalize your facial profile.
Who Is a Candidate for Face Lift Surgery in Philadelphia?
If you have experienced a loss of skin elasticity and muscle tone of the face and neck.
If you have the appearance of jowls.
If you have deep creases between the base of the nose and the corners of the mouth.
If you believe you lack youthful chin and neck contours.
If you think you have a tired facial appearance.
Intended Facelift Result
Facelift surgery results in a more rested and youthful contour to the face and neck and is designed to achieve long-term improvements to your facial profile. A facelift can lift loose skin and sagging jowls, reduce fine lines around the eyes, smooth forehead furrows and accentuate chin contours.

Face lifts range in size from “mini” to “standard” depending on the location and extent of skin laxity. The facelift operation is done on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia with sedation or under general anesthesia. During facelift surgery, incisions are made within the hairline (or along the hair margin) above the ear, extending down around the lobe and ending in or below the hairline behind the ear. The subcutaneous layers and neck muscles are tightened, the facial skin is redraped and lifted and the excess skin is removed.

Recuperation and Healing from Facelift Surgery in Philadelphia
Following facelift surgery, the patient goes home with the head and neck wrapped in dressings, as well as two drains which are usually removed the next day. Once this dressing is removed, an elastic head dressing is then put in place and is worn for the next 3-5 days, or as Dr. Brandow directs you.

Minimal initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. Sutures are removed within 10-14 days. Bruising and swelling decrease to “socially acceptable” levels in 10-20 days. The final result of the facelift is evident in 4-6 weeks or sooner with continued improvements for several months. Face lift surgery in Philadelphia is very common and there are lots of excellent recuperation options and centers in the area.

Other Options to Enhance Facelift Surgery in Philadelphia
Additional procedures that would enhance the result of face lift are: eyelid surgery, brow lift, chemical peels, facial sanding (dermabrasion), chin augmentation, nose reshaping (rhinoplasty), facial liposuction, laser skin resurfacing, cheekbone enhancement, augmentation/enhancement of the lips and reduction of earlobes. Dr. Brandow can combine multiple facial surgery techniques to bring about comprehensive improvements to your profile. He will discuss which facial surgery techniques are best for you during your facelift consultation at our Philadelphia offices.

Insurance Guidelines for Facelift Surgery in Philadelphia
The facelift procedure is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance. The patient is responsible for payment.

Notes on Getting a Facelift in Philadelphia
The specific risks and the suitability of face lift surgery for a given individual can be determined only at the time of consultation. All surgical procedures have some degree of risk. Minor complications that do not affect the outcome occur occasionally. Major complications are unusual.
