Every year, the final full week of April is designated National Veterinary Receptionist Week!On these days, we show our AMAZING client service representatives a little extra love and appreciation for all they do for clients, pets and staff alike!
Around the hospital, we often say these women have the most difficult job position. With every step of patient care, they are heavily involved, be it scheduling appointments, filling necessary prescriptions, helping ease pet parents’ anxieties and keeping them informed during hospital stays or being the first step in triaging incoming emergencies. They have been both the first voice you hear upon scheduling inaugural puppy and kitten visits, as well as played a vital part in counseling and consoling families during end of life care. They have been present for early morning assessments and late night discharges, keeping the channels of communication between staff and clients flowing consistently, ensuring thorough, up-to-date information to all involved. They have the experience to read between the lines of client concerns and see when subtle signs may indicate the need for immediate attention, ensuring conditions are caught and treated early. And beyond the highly capable professionals that they are, they are genuinely kind, compassionate, intelligent individuals with a passion for our patients well-being and comfort.
To Diane, Wendy, Taylor, Dana and our Hospital Manager, Lucy - thank you for all the of the hats you are made to wear on a daily basis and for handling all that comes your way with grace. We see you, we respect you and we love you!
