Sail Montana Sail Montana is yacht dealer and broker located in Kalispell, MT USA. We serve the boating community in the greater northwest US and southwest Canada.

Sail Montana, formerly known as Flathead J Boats, began selling sailboats in the early 1970’s on Flathead Lake, Montana. Officially a dealer for J Boats in 1977, the business focused on one design racing, primarily selling J24’s and one design sails in the inland northwest. In 1999, Pete Sauer, a native Montanan and lifelong sailor, acquired the business and expanded the services to include large

r brokerage sail and power vessels, dinghies such as Laser and Aero, custom sails from Ballard Sails, Triad Sailboat Trailers and Fairclough Sailboat Covers.

One of the not so fun things we do at Sail Montana - recover a boat off the rocks in Big Arm Bay, Flathead Lake. Although keel and rudder have damage as expected, boat will be ok after some work.
