If there is an unmet need, we have a large agency of programs that can help. Our center is privileged to have a Geriatric Health Consultant, Dr. Lynda Wilkerson, PhD. Dr. Wilkerson is a valuable asset to our center, as she has over 40 years of expertise. This expertise laid the groundwork for our facility's opening and is an invaluable reference that helps ensure Dunbar ADH clients receive the highest quality of services. Dunbar ADH is the only not for profit Adult Day Health Care provider in the Lake Cumberland service area. We never put money before the needs of the clients we serve. The revenue generated by the adult day health is reinvested into a wide array of LCCAA programs that ensure the Lake Cumberland region's low-income population has access to economic and social opportunities. Our center staff includes Kelly York, Assistant Administrator, Robert Stevenson, facility aide, Linda Wilkerson, Activities Director. Counting the 20 years of nursing experience of ADH Administrator, Crystal Dillingham, Dunbar Adult Day clients are served by a nursing team that boasts 106 years of combined nursing experience. The client care nursing team consists of Beverly Hicks, RN, Deborah Stevenson, LPN, and Sandra Tucker, LPN. The services we offer in the Adult Day Health center include respite, skilled nursing care, health monitoring, medication management, personal care, wellness education, socialization, transportation coordination, and recreational activities. The Lake Cumberland Community Action Agency lost its Treasurer last Thursday. Chester Taylor loved life, his family and fulfilling our mission statement of “Helping People. Changing Lives”. He was a member of the Lake Cumberland Community Action Agency Board of Directors serving in many capacities for a total 10 years of service. During those 10 years, Chester served as Chairman of the Board for 3 years, Vice-Chairman of the Board for 3 years, Executive Committee for 9 years and as Treasurer for the last 3 years. Chester was a champion for the Lake Cumberland Region, its citizens, and a friend to all. We are heartbroken.

“He gave us strength in times of trouble, wisdom in times of uncertainty, and shared laughter in times of happiness. Love is not an easy feeling to put into words. Nor is loyalty, or trust, or joy. But he was all of these. He loved life completely and he lived it intensely.” Judge John Frank, LCCAA Chairman of Board.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to The Taylor Family. We are grieving with you and supporting you in prayer. We will honor Chester’s memory, his life, and his legacy today and in all the days to come. May his life serve as an encouragement to all of us to love and serve our community with passion and joy.

A-ROC and Stacy’s Hope is excited to share our news and welcome our new Recovery Resident Manager Destinee Howard!

Hello, my name is Destinee Howard, I am the New Recovery Resident Manager at Stacy’s Hope, a sober living residence for woman in Adair/Russell county. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. “From a very early age my life has been impacted by drugs. I’ve watched helplessly as drugs destroyed some of the people, I loved the most. The first time I saw someone I loved reach sobriety; I knew I wanted to work in addiction recovery. To see the light come back in someone’s eyes after they battled with addiction is so inspiring. I wanted to be the person that helped those lost in addiction achieve sobriety and reignite that light. After I found my calling, I began working on my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a concentration in Substance Abuse. When I found Stacy’s Hope, my passion was only intensified. I have found such a sense of belonging here, and every day I come to work excited to help women maintain their sobriety and reach goals they never imagined possible. When women enter Stacy’s Hope, I want them to feel safe, loved, and supported as they reach their goals. When they leave our house, I want them to leave confident, healed, and excited to take on their future.”
