Kinney Carlas Caudill, age 88, of Burnside, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Kinney was born on May 3, 1937 at Walnut Grove, KY, the son of Kinney Caudill and Bertha Baker Caudill. He worked in construction as an iron worker for Cincinnati United Contractors. Kinney married Alma Dean Smith on March 17, 1954 and they shared life for 55 years prior to her passing on March 14, 2009. Kinney was a retired Church of God Pastor from Heaven Sent Mission Church in Lincoln Co, KY. He is a member of Heritage Hope Church of God.

Survivors include his son, Elbert Gale Caudill (April) of West Chester, OH, daughter(s), Carla Leetine Chambers (Lenard) and Rebecca Ann Simpson (Ricky) both of Burnside; grandchildren, Rachel Breeze, Rebeka Roe, Gayle Roe, Steve Collins, Joshua Collins, Sarah Collins, Zachary Collins, Autumn Joerger, Manya Schlosser and C. Landon Alexander; brother(s), Thomas Lloyd Caudill of Washington and Frank D. Dalton of Colorado; and his sister, Emma Jean Tucker of Somerset, KY; many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; extended family, neighbors and friends who are saddened by his passing.

In addition to his parents, Kinney and Bertha Caudill; and his wife, Alma Dean Caudill; Kinney was preceded in death by his daughter, Addie Ruth Fonsecca; one infant son, Kenneth Caudill; one great grandson, Gavin Roe; brother(s), James Leonard Caudill, Paul Maynard Caudill, Arthur Lee Dalton, and Ernest Dalton; sister(s), Selma Brown, Marcella Dalton and Vanola Madge Barker

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY 42503. Paul Mounce, age 54, of Somerset, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at his home.

Paul was born on September 9, 1971 in Jellico, TN to the late Vernon Mounce and Judy Taylor Mounce. He was a self-employed Tree trimmer for over 32 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing co****le, Jeep rides, fishing, kayaking and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by one son, Evan Paul (Jasmine) Mounce of Prairie Grove, AR; two daughters, Kayla Jane (Noah) Bogart of Little Rock, AR and Hannah Marie Mounce of Little Rock, AR; his fiancé, Alice Crabtree of Somerset, KY; four brothers, Randy (Lillie) Mounce of Somerset, James “Pee Wee” Mounce of Somerset, Justin Mounce of Somerset and Jesse Mounce of Somerset; four sisters, Michelle Mounce of Somerset, Shawnda Mounce of Somerset, Dreama Mounce of Somerset and Becky (Tool) Anderson of Somerset; two grandchildren, Elaine Bogart and Ensley Mounce; his former wife and mother of his children, Bria Noel Mounce of Springdale, AR; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who are saddened by his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon (Judy) Mounce.

Judy Martin, age 73, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Judy was born on July 26, 1952 in Manchester, KY to the late Logan Roberts and Evelyn Goins Campbell. She was a member of McKinney Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, taught Bible School and worked with Mission Friends. Judy enjoyed crocheting and her dog, “Sissy”. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Martin, whom she married on November 7, 1969; one daughter, Kim (Madison) Shelley of Eubank; one granddaughter, Haley Shelley (Evan Surber); and two brothers, Phillip Campbell of Somerset and Kenny (Sharon) Roberts of Crab Orchard.

Along with her parents and her stepfather, Eugene Campbell, she was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Wayne Martin.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Isaacs officiating. Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Ann Elizabeth Charleboix, age 74, of Eubank, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab.

Ann was born on May 13, 1951 in Spokane, WA to the late Gerald Gough and Bonnie Jean Kromm Gough. She worked at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls Montana for 35 years. Ann enjoyed hunting and fishing and had moved to Kentucky with her husband four years ago.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Frederick Charleboix, whom she married on April 30, 2014 in Springfield, MO; one brother, Mike Gough of Washington State; two sisters, Hilary (Bill) Searels of Arvada, CO and Pamela Gough (Mike Smith) of Washington State.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 am at Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy, KY with Father Gary Simpson officiating.

Imogene Roberts, a life-long educator, mom and loving grandmother, passed away at home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, surrounded by family at the age of 94. She leaves behind a legacy of learning and unwavering dedication that touched generations of students and her beloved family.

Born on March 10, 1931, Imogene discovered her calling early in life, and became an educator for 60 years. She inspired countless students with her infectious passion for teaching. Her teaching was not just a job but a way of life.

While her work in the classroom was her passion, her true love was her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife to Victor Wilson Clarkson, married in 1952. They had twin daughters Sherry Faye and Janice Kaye. With Vic’s passing in 1956, Imogene married Jim Roberts in 1959 and they had one daughter, Kim. Her light will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched in and out of the classroom.

Imogene is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Jimmy) Jones, Janice (Jim) McCann and Kim (Barry) Turpen; seven grandchildren, Megan (Ben) Richardson, Lauren (Robbie) Granger, Blair (Jeff) Bumgardner, Meredith (Keeton) Terry, Sarah McCann (Andre Hall), Lacey (Keith) Thacker, Courtney (Bryson) Fry. She also leaves behind 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Herman Rubarts; two sisters, Shirley Pittman and Patsy Wesley; and other family members and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Along with her parents, Omer (Irene) Rubarts, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Victor Clarkson and James “Jim” Ralph Roberts; and one brother, Lewis Rubarts.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Farris “Curly” Gene Blevins age 74, of Eubank, KY, passed away from this life to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.

Farris was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on November 14, 1951, to the late Lesley and Wilma Blevins. He was united in marriage to the love of his life Fonnie Blevins on October 8, 1977. He was a member of Eubank Baptist Church. He retired from Crane Plumbing and also worked for Weddle Enterprises. He was a farmer, loved to watch sports, and above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Fonnie Blevins; two sons Greg and (Nicole) Blevins of Somerset, KY, and Dustin and (Jana) Blevins of Eubank, KY; as well as one daughter Heidi and (Alan) Hubble also of Eubank. He leaves behind seven grandchildren, Allie Blevins, Addison Blevins, Bentley Blevins, Chloe Hubble, Ansley Blevins, Willa Hubble, and Caselynn Hubble.

He is also survived by one sister, Marsha and (Bill) Mounce of Eubank, KY; four brothers, Denny and (Teresa) Blevins of Marion, Indiana, Danny and (Linda) Blevins, Dennis and (Debbie) Blevins, and Tommy and (Sheri) Blevins; and one uncle, Vernon “Doc” Blevins all of Eubank, KY. He also leaves behind a host of other family members and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Lesley and Wilma Blevins.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Danny Phillip Pitman, age 76, of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
Danny was born on July 24, 1949 in Faubush, Kentucky to the late Eugene Glen Pitman and Bessie Marita Roberts Pitman. He was a graduate of Nancy High School and a faithful member of East Somerset Baptist Church. Danny enjoyed fishing, houseboating, camping, woodworking, and taking pride in keeping his lawn well maintained. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, whom he cherished dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Nelson Pitman; three daughters, Sherrye Lemmon of Ferguson, Malissa (Travis) Thacker of Ferguson, and Dawn (Michael) Correll of Somerset; five grandchildren, Madison Lemmon, Joseph Thacker (McCall), Colby Thacker, Colton Correll, and Camden Correll; three great grandchildren, Selah Thacker, Samuel Thacker and Mia Thacker; two brothers, Mike (Gloria) Pitman of Somerset and Bruce (Judy) Pitman of Nancy; two sisters, Diane (Dannie) Holt of Indianapolis and Cathy (Billy) Coner of Nancy; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members, friends, and neighbors who mourn his passing.

William “Dennis” Barnes, age 71 of the Goodwater area of Pulaski County, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Jean Waddle Care Center. Dennis was born on April 14, 1954 In Pulaski County, KY, the son of George Barnes and Christine Wright Barnes. Dennis worked as a coal miner for Ikerd and Bandy for 38 years. Dennis attended Clifty Grove Baptist Church and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Creech Barnes of Goodwater; two sons, William “Bill” Barnes of Clay City, KY and Brian D. Barnes (Misty) of Goodwater; ten grandchildren, Destiny McWain, Danielle Calhoun, Katie Creech, Chase Barnes, Ava Barnes, Sophie Barnes, Locklin Barnes, Robert Delaney, Matthew Delaney and Grace Delaney; two brothers, George Barnes and Glenn Barnes, both of Pulaski County; one sister, Anna Hines of Pulaski County; special cousin, David Creech; two special friends, Greg Avery and Lonnie Taylor; and extended family members, neighbors and friends who are saddened by his passing.

Danny Honaker, age 64 of Somerset, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation. Danny was born on August 13, 1961 in Pikeville, KY, the son of Arnold Honaker and Eloise Mullins Honaker. Danny married Chandra Elyse Goins, also of Pikeville, and they have shared life for almost 42 years. He was employed by the City of Pikeville for many years. Danny enjoyed his family, being a foster parent, visiting flea markets and he liked to hunt.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Chandra Honaker; two sons, Rico Perkins (Salima) of Louisville, KY and Jeremiah Honaker of Willisburg, KY; seven grandchildren, Byron Honaker, Hesakiah Honaker, Nemo Honaker, Aniyah Burkhart, Isaiah Perkins, Sydney Perkins and Stone Perkins; his mother-in-law, Virginia Goins of Somerset; one brother, Quincey Honaker of Pikeville; one sister, Aretha Honaker of Pikeville; sister-in-law Cassandra Sims of Chattanooga, TN; nephew(s) , Noah Honaker and John Ryan Hamp; niece(s), Mikayla Hamp, Ja’mesa Honaker and Amira Hamp; extended family members, neighbors and friends who are saddened by his passing.

Jesse V Turpin, born on February 2, 1942, to Othel Pete and Thelma Turpin of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 83. He was a resident of Kettering, Ohio.

A faithful member of the East Dayton Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam veteran. Jesse retired from Progressive Printers and Patent Printing. He enjoyed golf, attending auctions and garage sales. He also enjoyed attending loved one’s football and soccer games. Jesse was a very kind person who made friends wherever he went. He truly enjoyed life.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Turpin; two brothers, Larry (Phyllis) Turpen and Othel (Tracey) Turpin; three sisters, Mary Ann Woodson, Gladys Bryant and Peggy Lockwood; two sisters-in-law, Anna Clarice Turpin and Nancy Turpen; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends who are saddened by his passing.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Lowell Thomas Turpin (infant), Eugene Turpen, Curtis Turpin, Ervin (June) Turpen, Murrell (Sally) Turpen and Glen (Alene) Turpin; one sister, Dorsie (Dan) Hodapp; and two brothers-in-law, Ron Woodson and Jack Lockwood.

A visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, located at 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, on January 20, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Josephine “Jill” Haynes Cole, age 91, of Bronston, KY, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Somerset Nursing and Rehab.

Jill was born on January 19, 1934 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Cheerful Haynes and Ruby Mae Huff Haynes. She loved cooking and taking care of her family. Jill was the oldest living member of Neeley’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Hainey of Somerset and Kelly (Richard) Troxell of Somerset; one son, James Timothy (Candace) Cole of Stanford; one step-son, Russell Behling of California; one step-daughter, Theresa (Jessie) Herald of Jackson, KY; two brothers, Bobby Haynes of Sulphur, LA and Terry (Ruthann) Haynes of Sloans Valley, KY; one sister, Sharon Williams of Bronston; three grandchildren, Brandy Shively, Dana Lake and Elijah Hainey; four great grandchildren, Cain Troxell, Ricki Troxell, Dedrick Troxell and Bella Johnson; two great-great grandchildren, Cali Grider and Drako Abbott; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members who are saddened by her passing.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Cole; one daughter, Robin White; three brothers, Guy Lee Haynes, Jerry Haynes and Jacky Haynes; three sisters, Joan Decker, Sylvia McDowell and Joyce Ann Shelton; and one son-in-law, Mike White.

Charles Warren Troxtell, age 62 of Somerset, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Charles was born on November 17, 1963 at Somerset, KY, the son of Charlie B. Troxtell and Lucille Ragle Troxtell. Charles joined the US Army when he turned 18 yrs old – He earned the rank of Seargent and he received the Markmanship Badge and Army Achievement Medal. Charles loved and proudly served our country and he always celebrated Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Veterans Day, showing his patriotism. Charles enjoyed cooking out, watching the UK Wildcats, watching movies with Yvonne, and eating snacks. He loved growing a big garden with beautiful sunflowers and BIG watermelons – he was so happy to make the Commonwealth Journal! Charles’ favorite food was chili and he “spiced it up”…. even getting up to eat chili in the middle of the night. He loved music and he liked it loud…..

Charles leaves behind to mourn his passing, his fiancé, Yvonne Poynter of Somerset; his sister(s), Joy Turner (Rodney) of Somerset and Nancy Charlene Brown (Johnny) of Bronston; nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbors and friends.
