05/08/2026

Christina Elaine Norris, age 47 of Somerset passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Christina was born on February 19, 1979 in Lexington, KY, the daughter of Ovis Warner and Martha Moore Rexroat Singleton. Christina worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor.

Christina was truly one of a kind — charismatic, kind-hearted, courageous, and determined. She had a presence that could light up any room. No matter where she went, people were naturally drawn to her. Christina could walk into a room and be loved almost immediately by everyone there, simply because of the warmth and kindness she carried with her.

She found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved the color purple and butterflies, both of which reflected her spirit — vibrant, gentle, and free. Christina loved being outside in nature, where she felt most at peace. She especially loved working in her yard and caring for her flowers, finding happiness and comfort in watching things grow and bloom. She took pride in keeping her vehicles spotless and cared deeply for all of her animals, especially her beloved dog, Diesel, and her cat, Nookie, whom she adored dearly.

Music was another one of her great loves. The songs she listened to were more than background noise — they were part of who she was. Through music, laughter, and the love she gave so freely, Christina created memories that will stay with us forever.

Above all else, Christina’s heart belonged to her daughter and her dear mother. The love she had for them was unconditional, deep, and unwavering. She cherished them with every part of herself, and anyone who knew Christina could see how proud she was of her daughter and how deeply she treasured her mother. Her love for her family was one of the purest parts of who she was.

What many of us will remember most are her big, beautiful eyes and her infectious smile. She had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Her strength, compassion, and spirit left an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Though our hearts are heavy today, we are grateful for the time we shared with Christina. The love she gave, the memories she created, and the joy she brought into our lives will never fade.

We are reminded of Ecclesiastes 3:2-4 – A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

And if she were here today, we all know Christina would be dancing.

Rest peacefully, Christina.

You will always be loved, always be missed, and always be remembered.

Survivors include her mother, Martha Singleton (Richard Skaggs) of Somerset; her daughter, Alysia Marie Aycock of Somerset; a special aunt, Lydia Moore Holtzclaw of Russell Co, KY; special family friends, Angie Adams of Somerset; Adam Jesse and Daniel Aycock; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; extended family members, co-workers, neighbors and friends who are saddened by her passing.

Christina was preceded in death by her father, Ovis Warner; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Rosemary Moore; a special stepfather, Jeff Burkett; and step grandmother, Alene Burkett.

Visitation for Christina will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY 42503. Her funeral service will follow on Tuesday, May 12th at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Sisson officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery, Nancy, KY.
