What fun we all had at our 1st annual Bluegrass Stick Horse Derby! Unfortunately, two horses scratched at last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. Dilly Dally ridden by Kendra Cooper and Lucky ridden by Kelsey Daffron. All other entries certainly ran a tremendous race! Shout out to our very own Ron Pugh for a great call of our Bluegrass Stick Horse Derby!

We know that caring for a family member can be very stressful, and you might add to your stress by worrying about how your loved one will feel moving from home to a facility to receive care.

The WHO says, “For older adults, social connection is particularly important to reduce risk factors such as social isolation and loneliness. At this stage of life, meaningful social activities can significantly improve positive mental health, life satisfaction and quality of life; they can also reduce depressive symptoms.”

We plan activities to help build social connections and put smiles on the faces of our residents because having fun is good for them and our team, too.
