According to state records, there were over 4,500 fatal overdoses in 2023. There were over 43,000 nonfatal overdoses in 2023 also.

Naloxone (Narcan) is 100% safe. You cannot overdose on it. If you see someone you think is experiencing an overdose, you can administer naloxone regardless on if someone else has done it. It will not harm the person. It may just save their life
