Interventional Pain Management Practice committed to helping manage and ease your pain!

Serving multiple communities in NY and NJ. Interventional Pain Management at University Pain Medicine Center is committed to helping you manage your pain. Our goals are to relieve, reduce, or manage pain and improve a patient's overall quality of life through minimally invasive techniques specifically designed to diagnose and treat painful conditions. We also strives to help patients return to their everyday activities quickly and without heavy reliance on medications. Dr. Demesmin’s main objective is to non-surgically intervene using the least yet most effective methods available. He prides himself on providing the most advanced technologies to his patients. As a medical innovator, he is committed to constant research of new developments and improvements within the rapidly growing specialty of Interventional Pain Management. At the University Pain Medicine Center we treat your pain by reducing the inflammation or desensitizing the painful nerves, spinal discs, joints or muscles responsible for your symptoms. We accomplish this by combining medications and physical modalities with precise x-ray guided injections. Injection therapies to block pain such as epidurals, selective nerve root blocks or facet blocks offer alternatives to major surgery with almost no complications. Implantable medication devices and spinal cord stimulators allow patients to control their therapy through their own personal remote control. All of our procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, either within the office or at a surgi-center in a relaxed and pleasant environment. At University Pain Medicine Center our compassionate and expert staff can address your needs and will provide you with a rewarding experience. One of the most important decisions to make when dealing with your care is finding a physician who instills confidence and peace of mind. Dr. Demesmin is an excellent clinician whose skill and expertise in diagnosing and treating are matched only by his compassion and dedication to his patients.

✨ Relief Without Big Surgery: Endoscopic Discectomy ✨

If you’re suffering from back or leg pain caused by a herniated disc, endoscopic discectomy may offer a safer, less invasive path to relief.

🔹 What is Endoscopic Discectomy?
It’s a minimally invasive spine procedure that removes the portion of a herniated disc pressing on nerves, using a tiny camera and specialized instruments through a very small incision.

🌟 Benefits

✔️ Smaller incision & minimal tissue damage
✔️ Less pain after the procedure
✔️ Faster recovery & return to daily activities
✔️ Lower risk of complications
✔️ Often performed as an outpatient procedure

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Am I a candidate for endoscopic discectomy?
A: Many patients with herniated discs who haven’t improved with conservative care may qualify. A consultation and imaging are needed to determine eligibility.

Q: Is it painful?
A: Most patients experience significantly less pain compared to traditional open spine surgery.

Q: How long is the recovery?
A: Many patients return to light activities within days and resume normal routines much sooner than with conventional surgery.

Q: Is it effective?
A: Endoscopic discectomy has shown excellent outcomes for properly selected patients, with high rates of pain relief and improved function.
