Interventional Pain Management Practice committed to helping manage and ease your pain!

Serving multiple communities in NY and NJ. Interventional Pain Management at University Pain Medicine Center is committed to helping you manage your pain. Our goals are to relieve, reduce, or manage pain and improve a patient's overall quality of life through minimally invasive techniques specifically designed to diagnose and treat painful conditions. We also strives to help patients return to their everyday activities quickly and without heavy reliance on medications. Dr. Demesmin’s main objective is to non-surgically intervene using the least yet most effective methods available. He prides himself on providing the most advanced technologies to his patients. As a medical innovator, he is committed to constant research of new developments and improvements within the rapidly growing specialty of Interventional Pain Management. At the University Pain Medicine Center we treat your pain by reducing the inflammation or desensitizing the painful nerves, spinal discs, joints or muscles responsible for your symptoms. We accomplish this by combining medications and physical modalities with precise x-ray guided injections. Injection therapies to block pain such as epidurals, selective nerve root blocks or facet blocks offer alternatives to major surgery with almost no complications. Implantable medication devices and spinal cord stimulators allow patients to control their therapy through their own personal remote control. All of our procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, either within the office or at a surgi-center in a relaxed and pleasant environment. At University Pain Medicine Center our compassionate and expert staff can address your needs and will provide you with a rewarding experience. One of the most important decisions to make when dealing with your care is finding a physician who instills confidence and peace of mind. Dr. Demesmin is an excellent clinician whose skill and expertise in diagnosing and treating are matched only by his compassion and dedication to his patients.

🦴 October is Spine Health Awareness Month!
Your spine supports every move you make — take care of it!

At University Pain and Spine Center, we’re dedicated to helping you stay active, healthy, and pain-free. Common spine conditions like herniated discs, sciatica, spinal stenosis, arthritis, and degenerative disc disease can cause chronic pain, numbness, and even mobility challenges if left untreated.

The good news? With early diagnosis, personalized treatment, and lifestyle care, you can maintain a strong, healthy spine for years to come.

Here are a few ways to care for your spine every day:
💪 Stay active – Low-impact exercises like walking, swimming, or yoga help keep your spine flexible and strong.
🧍‍♀️ Watch your posture – Whether sitting or standing, proper alignment reduces stress on your back.
🛌 Sleep smart – Use a supportive mattress and pillow that keep your spine in a neutral position.
🥦 Eat well – A balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D supports bone and joint health.
🧘 Manage stress – Tension can lead to muscle strain and back pain. Practice relaxation and stretching.

Our board-certified specialists offer advanced, compassionate care for all types of spinal conditions — from minimally invasive procedures to comprehensive pain management. We’re here to help you move freely, live comfortably, and feel your best.
