This Physical Therapy Month, we proudly honor and celebrate a true trailblazer in Physical Therapy, our founder and CEO Emeritus, Dr. Connie Hauser, whose vision, leadership, and dedication have shaped not only PT Pros but the profession of physical therapy itself.
For more than five decades, Connie has been a pioneer. As one of the first female private practice owners in the nation, she established PT Pros with the mission of bringing exceptional care to rural and underserved communities across Kentucky. Her legacy continues to grow today, with PT Pros serving thousands of patients who might not otherwise have access to care.
Her influence extends far beyond the clinic walls. From serving as Kentucky Chapter President to holding national leadership roles with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Connie has been a powerful advocate for policies that improve access to physical therapy for patients and strengthen the profession for clinicians. Her work helped shape the very foundation of advocacy efforts we rely on today.
Connieβs passion for mentorship and education has also left a lasting mark. She played a key role in creating the Connie D. Hauser Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of the Cumberlands, opening doors for students in rural areas to pursue their PT careers close to home.
We celebrate Dr. Hauser not just for her achievements, but for the heart, wisdom, and inspiration she continues to share. Thank you, Connie, for 50+ years of extraordinary leadership and impact. π
