Hope every one is having a great winter so far! As we approach the end of February, we just wanted to reach out and let you know that we are scheduling Mid Season cleanings. This doesn’t apply to everyone, but more and more customers have been asking us to come twice a year. With that, if you’ve had a cleaning in the same season (July-December 2022) you will have a credit towards your mid season cleaning (February- March 2023) of -$25. Once again this may not apply to all. Some find they need it due to poor quality pellets or burning more than 3 tons of pellets by February. Feel free to call anytime if this is something you would like to schedule. We can be reached at 508-965-5840. One last thing, keep your eyes peeled for our New van and New look! Good morning, as we hopefully turn the curve for better warmer weather, I just wanted to take a moment to thanks everyone for your continued support and uses of The Ash Buster’s services. We had a very busy winter and hope to see everyone soon for your end of the season cleanings. A lot of you have already taken advantage of calling early and scheduling in May/June to avoid the rush in September etc. Also, we don’t know why and have done everything Facebook has asked us to do as far as hopefully fixing the issue. The account we created for The Ash Buster has gone (grey). Meaning it doesn’t fit Facebook standards from when it was created in 2010. The account may come down as of April 4. If so we will create another and hopefully be able to reach out to everyone. We did have a issue with our google listing aswell. Another company unfortunately was using our business name as a common word in their business’s service category. Long story short when somone would look up The Ash Buster on google, they would unfortunately be directed to the competitors page. Google had me delete our account and recreate another. This how ever made us lose all our great reviews. The same may happen with Facebook. If so if anyone has time to create a review on google or on Facebook if the account Is removed, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and see you all soon !!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share our capabilities as one of the highly rated service crews in our area. Matt and I completed 2 rebuilds in house this past Saturday. Both customer’s stoves where 15 years old with cracked, worn out feeders. We disassembled both units in house do the extreme cold. Here’s some pictures of one of the rebuilds. Both customers where very pleased and after we where done, you’d never know we where there. I always treat your home as if it where my own and make sure our work area is covered so we leave our work spaces as clean as it was when we arrived. Take care and stay warm !

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to take a minute and reflect on the currant situation we’re all facing at this critical time. It has been very tough for all of us especially people being effected financially. This comes with a very difficult decision to temporarily stop in house services to our customers for the month of April. I have been trying to accommodate those who are broken and still calling for service. Unfortunately I feel as if I am making customers uncomfortable when I am in they’re homes as I myself feel the same way. As an asthmatic I reached out to my doctor about the matter. He highly recommended I stay out of homes until at least May. I also feel as all of us are trying to do the right thing and practice social distancing, that not continuing service is the right call. My family is home and staying home. I feel guilty taking the chance of bringing any sign of the coronavirus home and feel the same way as I travel from house to house. I could never forgive myself if I where to get any of you or my family sick. I am grateful that it is April and we are getting into much nicer weather. I hope all of you can understand and support this very difficult decision. Thank you all and I hope everyone stays safe and healthy!!

Just wanted to share with everyone. This is a worn auger/ feeder on an old Harman P38 (2006) we rebuilt last week. If you get service at least once a year, we check these types of wear so there’s nothing to be worried about. As a home owner servicing your own unit, always keep an eye on this type of wear. Over time carbon will wear the auger and also start to expand the auger tube. This can be very dangerous if not repaired. This particular customer was experiencing smoke through the hopper as well as carbon monoxide detectors going off regularly the last couple weeks. This has and will lead to a “burn back” hopper fire. Unfortunately this was our first time servicing the unit or we would’ve never let it get to that point. Customer contacted us to repair the unit, after looking at new Harman stoves they decided that it be best for them to invest the money into they’re existing unit saving them thousands! Everything replaced as well as the new control board upgrade for the Harman P38. Highly recommend if you have a P38 with the old 2 k**b set up. Programming is much better and runs the stove more efficiently and hotter than ever. Every time we do one, the customer always says they wish they had done it sooner ! Hey everyone ! Just wanted to reach out and let everyone know who’s been trying to book appointments via Facebook that your better off calling or emailing. I do not check the Facebook often and it’s always easier to book over the phone. I return all my calls with in a day or two at best. Remember this time of year call volume is very high. Every Monday I change the voicemail letting everyone know how far I’m booking etc.

Unfortunately only looking for the Harman stoves at this time. Also keep in mind if your selling your home and leaving the Harman pellet stove, make sure the new owner is giving you something for your stove. If not we will !!

Hello everyone ! Just wanted to reach out as we’ve been seeing more and more of these lately. In the past the rebuilds where mostly related to the 5 hole burn pot associated with the units manufactured 2007-2008. As the units are getting older, we're now seeing the same damage on the feeder, on the older units 2001-2006. Just want everyone to keep they’re eye out for worn auger tips, and abnormal build up around auger. You should only have carbon build up on your burn pot. Not in the tube around the auger. This summer we have 15+ that have to be rebuilt. It is very important to have your annual cleaning every year as this is something we will check and keep you up to date on. In most cases the stove will stop feeding and that’s when we’re getting the calls. Worst cases I’ve seen are the hopper fires. Not common but still not something to chance. Thank you for your time !

My brother and I completed another successful Harman re-build yesterday. Harman P68. This is typically caused from a 5 hole burn pot on stoves manufactured 2006,2007,2008. If you have a crack, worn auger or thinning feeder tube, you can get either binding of the pellets or worst a burn back. This is when the pellets in the hopper ignite due to a worn auger. Unfortunately this P68 was half re-built by another company a couple years ago. By only replacing the auger and burn pot, the damage caused from the 5 hole burn pot caused thinning on the feeder tube and was causing a horrible banging when feeding. Thankfully Harman was kind enough to cover the parts again even though they paid parts and labor to another company prior. We see these quite often and definitely something for home owners to keep an eye on. If you have your stove serviced by us then your good to go. I always pay close attention to make sure all my customers are safe!
