Heart failure is a major national health challenge. It remains the only cardiovascular disease that continues to rise, and it's the number one cause of hospitalization in adults over 65.

During Heart Month, we're highlighting our Heart Failure Empowerment Program designed for our home health patients. We help patients understand their disease, recognize early warning signs and adopt heart-healthy habits. A structured home health approach can help loved ones who are living with heart failure remain stable and out of the hospital.

Our latest blog explains how hospice eligibility, recertification and patient choice work, and what it looks like to discontinue or resume hospice if your goals or needs change.

🧠💜 June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month 💜🧠
At Wentworth Homecare, an Amedisys Partner, we honor this month by raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia that affect millions of families across the country.

In homecare, we see firsthand how important compassionate, personalized support is for those living with memory loss. Our caregivers are trained to provide safe, respectful, and engaging care that helps patients maintain dignity and quality of life at home.

💡 Here are a few ways families can support brain health at home:
✔️ Create a calm, structured environment
✔️ Encourage simple, meaningful activities like music, puzzles, or reminiscing
✔️ Maintain a consistent routine to reduce confusion
✔️ Use memory aids like labeled photos or calendars
✔️ Prioritize safety with fall prevention and medication reminders
✔️ Take care of the caregiver—support and respite are essential

Let’s work together to support brain health and honor those affected by Alzheimer’s. 💜
