Last month, Cocopah Head Start students made frybread, a food that holds a special place in Native American culture and history.
It’s more than a favorite food, it’s a symbol of resilience and roots. Sharing frybread keeps traditions alive with every bite. The students had so much fun learning about ingredients and how to make frybread from scratch. They tasted their own creations and loved it so much they even went back for seconds! Activities like these strengthens culture and keeps them connected across generations.

Cocopah Supports Somerton 2025 Corn Festival

Dozens of volunteers gathered on Oct. 25 to participate in the first of its kind clean up at Mittry Lake. The event was a collaboration among the Cocopah Environmental Protection Office, the Cocopah Cultural Resources Department, Yuma County, Arizona Game & Fish, and the Bureau of Land Management.

Cocopah Indian Tribe and Museum participated in the 9th Annual Mayors’ International Bike Ride 🚴.

Participants in the ride got a chance to check out the Cocopah pop-up museum and enjoy some refreshments at the Cocopah Korner Store which was the first stop in the 25 mile ride to the international border with Mexico.
